Aubameyang has been mutually banished while Man Utd look set to pip Spurs under Rangnick’s orders…

AUBA MUTUALLY BANISHED
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been ‘banished’ from first-team training at Arsenal and Mikel Arteta is ‘open’ to the idea of him leaving in January.

The 32-year-old was stripped of the captaincy on Monday over his ‘latest disciplinary breach’ after returning late from an agreed trip to collect his sick mother.

The Daily Mail report that Aubameyang has not been involved in first-team training this week, and will likely not be involved before he leaves for the African Cup of Nations at the end of the month.

The decision for Aubameyang to train alone has been described as a ‘mutual’ decision by all parties – a mutual banishment, then.

His exile raises questions as to whether there is a way back for the Gabon international under Arteta and the report claims the Arsenal boss is ‘open’ to the idea of letting Aubameyang leave in January, though a summer exit is thought more likely.

ARTHUR OPEN TO ARSENAL
Arteta is keen to continue his Arsenal rebuild at the Emirates, with his midfield thought to be an area of pressing concern.

Italian news outlet Gazetta claim the Gunners are plotting a loan move for Juventus midfielder Arthur.

The Brazilian moved to Turin from Barcelona for £65million in the summer of 2020, but has made just eight appearances for Juventus this season and just one Serie A start.

Arteta feels Arthur would provide valuable competition in midfield and something different to their current options.

According to the report, Arthur ‘would be open to the switch’ and a loan move with the option of a permanent deal is very much on the cards.

‘DECISIVE’ RALF
Manchester United are “moving decisively”, under orders from Ralf Rangnick, to beat Tottenham and PSG to the signing of AC Milan star Franck Kessie.

Kessie is set to leave the San Siro at the end of the season when his current deal expires, and a swathe of top European clubs have been linked.

Spus and PSG looked set to do battle but United have now entered the fracas.

Italian journalist Rudy Galetti says the Red Devils are “moving decisively” for the midfielder and will at least match the €10m per year salary said to be on the table from the other suitors.

TUCHEL TARGETS THEO
Chelsea are plotting a January move for AC Milan star Theo Hernandez.

Ben Chilwell’s injury is said to have led Thomas Tuchel to reassess his options on the left, with Marcos Alonso currently the only recognised left wing-back option.

And Catalan outlet El Nacional claims the Blues are readying a €40million move for Hernandez, who has an impressive 16 goals and 18 assists in 100 appearances for Milan.

His exploits have put some of the biggest clubs in Europe on notice, but Chelsea appear to have stolen a march on their transfer rivals.

Talks are ‘already underway’ between Hernandez and Chelsea, and the Frenchman is ‘not opposed’ to the idea of moving to Stamford Bridge to ‘take his career to the next level’. According to the report, ‘the stars are aligned’.
