Transfer gossip: Real Madrid target Spurs flop and Man Utd alternative to Cancelo

Richarlison is a Real Madrid target

Real Madrid have their eyes on the Premier League and a complete lack of goals from Richarlison does not appear to have put them off.

RICHARLISON AMONG REAL TARGETS
This was not the plan. Tottenham bought Richarlison from Everton last summer for an initial £50m and the Brazilian has started only five Premier League games and not scored a single top-flight goal. So the theory is that he could move to Real Madrid this summer, with Carlo Ancelotti keen on a reunion with the player he managed at Everton, according to Foot Mercato. They say that ‘cash-strapped Spurs might be open to negotiating a good price!’.

They claim that Richarlison is one of many targets for Real Madrid, whose priority is of course Jude Bellingham. Other names mentioned are Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Brazilian centre-half Robert Renan and Brahim Diaz, who is actually a Real player but is on loan at AC Milan.

But they might have to give up on Kvaratskhelia. “There is no possibility of him leaving Naples; me and his father we are the only ones to represent Kvara and I tell you that there is no chance of him going to another team,” said agent Mamuka Jugheli.

THAT’S DALOT
Another player linked with Real Madrid is Manchester United full-back Diogo Dalot. According to AS, Real were interested in Joao Cancelo before he joined Bayern Munich but have now turned their attention to another Manchester-based Portuguese full-back.

Dalot is out of contract in the summer of 2024 so could be available for a cut-price fee this summer or for nothing next year. He was on the bench in Barcelona on Thursday night as manager Erik ten Hag opted for the more defensive option of Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

JOAO FELIX AND MOUNT SWAP PLAN
Chelsea are reportedly keen to sign Joao Felix permanently and they are hoping La Liga giants Atletico Madrid will accept a player-plus-cash offer. Felix joined Chelsea on loan from the Spanish side during the January transfer window. They are understood to be paying a loan fee of around £9m until the end of this season.

Spanish outlet Marca are reporting that Chelsea have taken to Felix as they ‘want to keep’ him beyond this campaign.

Todd Boehly is to ‘make an offer’ for the Atletico Madrid star but it is noted that the ‘operation will not be easy’. The Blues feel that they can ‘build a winning project with Felix’ and they are pushing for a player-plus-cash deal. The report adds that reported Liverpool target Mason Mount is ‘one of the players offered’ to Atletico Madrid ‘to make the Joao operation cheaper’.
