Tottenham defender Kieran Trippier is reportedly travelling to Spain ahead of completing a transfer to Atletico Madrid.
The right-back, a key player for England at last summer’s World Cup, has had a disappointing campaign, not helped by a niggling groin injury picked up in Russia.
That poor form, despite playing in a side which reached the Champions League final and booked a top-four spot in the Premier League, has seen him dropped from the Three Lions’ squad for this year’s Nations League finals.
Spurs are understood to be willing to allow Trippier to leave the club and he has been heavily linked with a move to Napoli and Manchester United.
And Matt Law of the Daily Telegraph is now reporting that Trippier is on his way to Spain for a medical at Atletico.
He tweeted: “Told Kieran Trippier is travelling to Madrid with a view to completing his £20million move to Atletico.”

The Evening Standard, meanwhile, are reporting a fee in the region of £25million has been agreed and that he will get a significant rise on his £50k-a-week wages.
