United’s Schneiderlin set for medical – reports

Manchester United midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin is set for a medical at Everton on Friday afternoon, according to reports.

The Sun claims that personal terms have been agreed with the Frenchman and he will be allowed to have a medical on Merseyside.

The two clubs are understood to be still negotiating over a transfer fee with the Red Devils thought to be looking to recoup most of the £25million fee paid to Southampton for his services 18 months ago.

Jose Mourinho has been unable to include Schneiderlin in his plans this term with the 27-year-old only playing 11 minutes of Premier League football this campaign, in comparison to the 29 league matches he played under Louis van Gaal last season.

Last week Mourinho had said that the club had no acceptable offers for the France international and that looks to still be the case as both clubs try to come to a resolution.

West Brom and Marseille are also thought to be interested in Schneiderlin but The Sun reckons the Toffees are ahead of rival clubs in the race for his signature.
