Vieira worth four times more than Pogba – Leboeuf

Patrick Vieira would have been worth more than four times as much as Paul Pogba in the current day, according to Frank Leboeuf.

Pogba became the most expensive player in the world this summer when he joined Manchester United for £89.3million.

The midfielder initially left Old Trafford as a 19-year-old in 2012 to join Juventus, but returned to Old Trafford four years later under Jose Mourinho.

His start to life in the Premier League has been relatively successful, with United winning their opening three league games, as well as the Community Shield.

But, speaking to RMC Sport during France’s 0-0 draw with Belarus earlier this week, former Chelsea defender Leboeuf was unimpressed with a lacklustre performance from the 23-year-old.

Pogba was guilt of wasting a number of opportunities for the Euro 2016 runners-up, and Leboeuf did not hold back in his evaluation.

According to Le10 Sport, he said: “If Pogba is €120m, then Vieira these days would be worth €500m.”
