Arsene Wenger has confirmed that contract talks are ongoing with Mesut Ozil amid reports that he has been offered close to £300,000 a week.
The German has been excellent in recent weeks and the Arsenal manager has reportedly given his approval to an improved offer after he turned down £235,000 a week.
Manchester United and Barcelona have both been linked with Ozil but Wenger said: “Negotiations are always going on with everybody. Our door is always open. For the rest, I can not tell you much more.”
Well I said Ozil will sign a new three years deal I was abused, good that many media outlets are beginning to echo the same. I expect deal to be announced this month. We are on Goretzka's case as well and Walcott almost certain to join Everton next month.

A report in the Daily Mail claims that Arsenal ‘have launched one last effort to keep Mesut Ozil’ and are willing to make him the highest earner in the club’s history.
The chances of the Gunners also keeping hold of Alexis Sanchez are said to be ‘bleaker than ever’.
