Wenger drops biggest hint yet over Arsenal future

Arsene Wenger has confirmed he “will manage next season” – but he is unsure whether that will be at Arsenal or not.

Wenger’s future as Arsenal boss has come under considerable scrutiny over the past week in particular, with the Gunners losing 5-1 to Bayern Munich in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie.

They are ten points behind Premier League leaders Chelsea, and with his contract expiring in the summer, there is a growing belief that Wenger could leave.

When asked about his future on Friday, he replied: “I will decide my future in March or April, but I don’t know when.

“I speak to the board but I don’t want to speak about how they view my future. What’s important is the club, not my future.”

He continued: “No matter what happens, I will manage next season.

“Whether it is here or not, that is for sure.

“I have a big responsibility at this club. It is difficult to take but I have the strength and experience.”
