James McClean says West Brom caretaker manager Darren Moore has everyone “pulling in the same direction”.

The Baggies kept their slim hopes of Premier League survival alive with a shock 1-0 victory over Manchester United on Sunday.

West Brom are now just three and four points behind Stoke and Southampton respectively, although the gap to 17th-placed Swansea is nine points.

They have just four games remaining, but Moore has ensured their season can end on something of a high note after a draw and a win in his first two games.

Winger McClean says that the former defender has had an effect on the training ground.

“He’s got that likeable factor, so everyone’s pulling in the same direction for him,” McClean told BBC Radio 5 live.

“In the past two games we’ve put on two good performances for him.

“It obviously helps when you go out on the pitch knowing what you’re doing – as individuals and as a team.

“Since the big man’s come in, we’ve worked in training on what we’re doing defensively and what we’re doing attackingly.

“In the past two games, we’ve shown we actually know what we’re doing when we go out on the pitch, which obviously always helps.”
