West Brom players are reportedly ‘stunned’ that Alan Pardew is still their manager.
West Brom are rooted to the bottom of the Premier League table, eight points adrift of safety with nine games to go.
Pardew was expected to turn their form around after the club won just two of their last 21 Premier League games under former manager Tony Pulis, now excelling at Middlesbrough.
But the Baggies have won just once in 15 league games under Pardew, slipping further into the relegation mire.
According to the Daily Mirror, a number of players have been left ‘shocked’ at the club’s decision not to part with Pardew.
They are ‘amazed’ the manager is still in charge, and feel the board are ‘effectively accepting relegation’ by not acting now.
There is understood to be a lack of viable candidates to take over Pardew if the club were to sack him, hence the indecision.
