West Ham and Wolves are both interested in signing Ajax forward Lassina Traore, according to reports in Holland.

Traore joined Ajax in January 2019 as he moved to Europe from his home country of Burkina Faso.

He initially played for their reserve team, Jong Ajax. The 19-year-old immediately hit the ground running for them, scoring 22 goals from just 33 games.

The forward made his senior debut towards the end of the 2018/19 season against Utrecht. He made 12 more appearances last season in all competitions and he netted four times.

Traore has made a great start to the 2020/21 campaign for Ajax. He has become a regular in their first team after scoring eight times and notching eight assists from just 16 outings across all competitions.

In October 2020, he scored five goals as Ajax hammered VVV-Venlo 13-0 in the Dutch Eredivisie.

The cousin of Aston Villa star Bertrand Traore has been capped eleven times for Burkina Faso. Since making his debut in 2017, he has netted five times for his country.

Now Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf via Voetbal Primeur are reporting that Traore could soon become a Premier League player.

The report adds that West Ham and Wolves are among the clubs keen to sign him. It is also stated that he only has 18 months remaining on his current contract, so it should not require a huge fee to secure his services.
