Chris Wilder says it is “refreshing” to see Jurgen Klopp have a beer and a chat with him after Sheffield United lost 1-0 to Liverpool on Saturday.
The Reds were perhaps a little lucky to beat the Blades over the weekend as the hosts were more than a match for the European champions.
Liverpool were made to work hard for victory as Dean Henderson’s howler from a soft Georginio Wijnaldum shot gave Klopp’s men all three points.
And Wilder was impressed with Klopp’s “refreshing” post-match approach that saw the two managers have a beer together after the match.
Wilder said: “I’m not a connoisseur of champagne, I don’t really drink a lot to be honest, but it was great to sit in a room with him.
“We’ve had a beer and chatted about the game. It’s quite refreshing because I don’t get that feel with some managers in the Premier League, which is disappointing.
“We’ve always had an open door policy here, so it is good to chat.”
