Chelsea midfielder Willian thinks he has a lot left to give in European football before he returns home to Brazil.

The Brazil international has less than a year remaining on his contract at Stamford Bridge and, at 31, his value is likely to deteriorate in the coming years.

But Chelsea’s inability to sufficiently replace him- because of their transfer ban – with a new signing saw them them turn down two offers of £35m from La Liga over the summer.

And following Chelsea’s 1-0 win on the road at Ajax, Willian was quizzed by Brazilian media about his future, including a possible return to former club Corinthians.

“Of course when you talk about Corinthians, the club that launched me, I have a great affection. But honestly, I don’t think about returning to Brazil,” Willian told Esporte Interativo.

“I think I have a lot of wood to burn here in Europe. I have a market. I’m very happy here at Chelsea. Of course my contract is ending now, at the end of the season it’s over. But I’m happy at Chelsea and I plan to stay out here.”
