Woodward makes enquiry for Argentina striker in Man Utd transfer hunt
Manchester United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward has made contract with San Lorenzo over a possible loan move for Adolfo Gaich, according to reports.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer admitted on Wednesday that he was keen for United to bring in another goalscorer before the end of the window after the club agreed a deal with Sporting Lisbon to sign Bruno Fernandes.
When asked if anyone else was coming in after completing a deal for Fernandes, Solskjaer said: “I am not sure.
“We need more goalscorers and more goals. That is a definite. We need someone who will break their nose to score a goal.”
The likes of Odion Ighalo, Josh King and Salomon Rondon have been linked with a move to Old Trafford over the last 24 hours.
And now FOX Sports Argentina (via the Daily Express) claim that Man Utd have enquired about a possible loan move for San Lorenzo striker Gaich.
The report adds that Woodward‘s attempts to negotiate have been rejected by San Lorenzo.
Gaich has scored four Superliga Argentina goals in nine appearances this season, while he has one cap for Argentina.
