Borussia Dortmund’s sporting director Michael Zorc claims that even the world’s biggest clubs cannot afford to buy Jadon Sancho.

The winger has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain in recent times, with Liverpool, Tottenham and Arsenal all credited with interest.

United are reportedly ready to pay a fee in the region of £100million to land the teenager’s services in the summer transfer window, as they look to ‘prioritise’ the England international.

However, Zorc doubts any club in the world could afford the amount Dortmund would want for Sancho.

“I’m a far cry from putting a price tag on Jadon,” Zorc said. “But I’m saying that even the biggest clubs in the world can hardly afford his transfer at the moment.

“Jadon will play for Borussia Dortmund next season. We are definitely planning with him.

“I’m also aware that the efforts – especially of the English clubs – to sign him will be stronger and stronger if he continues to play like that.

“He will certainly not play in Dortmund until the end of his career. That is also part of the truth.

“For the summer I’m pretty sure the players we want to keep will stay with us.”
