An increasingly popular prediction exchange, Crypto.com gives eligible members in the US the chance to make clear-cut ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ trades across events as far apart as the NBA Champions to the next President.

In this Crypto.com prediction markets review, every feature will be ruthlessly prodded and poked to see what’s good and what, frankly, is not. And in case it all goes belly up, there’s a look at customer support too. This review will even go into Crypto.com’s special features, like the option to layer predictions into one juicy trade.

How does Crypto.com work?

Wading through the regulatory waters of prediction exchanges can feel heavy going but there are no rain slickers or waders required here. The prediction market section of Crypto.com is a CFTC (Commodity Futures Trading Commission) regulated derivatives trading feature available solely through the Crypto.com app.

As a derivatives trading market, Crypto.com offers trades on a veritable cornucopia of markets like sports, politics and culture. These trades take a binary Yes/No format e.g. ‘Will the price of Bitcoin increase in June 2026?’ If members believe the price will go up, they’ll purchase ‘Yes’ trades. If not, they’ll buy ‘No’.

Understanding contracts at Crypto.com

Every contract at Crypto.com has a price between $0.00 and $0.99, which is determined by the implied probability of that event happening. So, let’s say that there’s a 40% chance of the price of Bitcoin increasing in June 2026, making a ‘Yes’ price of $0.40 and a ‘No’ price of $0.59 for each contract.

A lower price indicates that the event is less likely to occur, according to market sentiment. A higher price indicates that the traders at Crypto.com believe it is more likely to take place.

Once the event time period has passed, correct contracts are settled at a price of $1 or $10 each, according to their individual format. Incorrect contracts are settled at $0 each. This would mean the following payouts for the above example:

  • Yes - $1-$0.40 equals $0.60 profit on every individual contract.
  • No - each contract settles at $0 so all money is lost.

Will the market move?

Each contract has a clearly defined end point, such as the end of June 2026 or the next presidential election. Before that point though, the market can, and does, go up and down like a freshly oiled Space Mountain.

As with other prediction exchanges, it’s possible to sell trades before the market closes. Members may do this if they’ve reached a profit, or market sentiment indicates that the result may not come off.

How are outcomes decided at Crypto.com?

In a lot of cases, the outcome of an event, like the winner of the Super Bowl, will be clear – they’ll be the ones with the trophy, shaking the President’s hand, dripping in Gatorade. But, to make this official, each contract at Crypto.com has a designated ‘settlement source’ that will be used to determine the outcome. These will vary by trade but could be a company’s official website, public announcements or a governing body.

How about Crypto.com trading fees? Contract prices and charges explained

In order to make trades at Crypto.com, it’s necessary to understand the fee structure. Fortunately, this is easy to understand and built into the trading system.

There are two types of fees impacting trades at Crypto.com - exchange fees and technology fees - and both can apply to opening and closing positions i.e. buying and selling contracts. However, both can differ according to the value of the contract, as outlined in the table below:

Fees$1 contract$10 contract
Opening a positionExchange fee: $0.02 per contract
Technology fee: n/a
Exchange fee: $0.10 per contract
Technology fee: $0.10
Closing a position (before the event has concluded)Exchange fee: $0.02 per contract
Technology fee: n/a
Exchange fee: $0.10 per contract
Technology fee: $0.10
Contract settled as correctExchange fee: waived
Technology fee: waived
Exchange fee: $0.01
Technology fee: waived
Contract settled as incorrectNo fees but you will lose the money paid to purchase the contract

To break this down, let’s take a look at a worked example. A member buys 10 ‘Yes’ contracts that the Chiefs will win the Super Bowl. This has a current implied probability of 19%, so each Yes contract costs $0.19. The estimated cost of the whole would be calculated as: 0.19 + 0.02 per contract x 10 = $2.10.

This may not be the final price, to allow for slippage (addressed just below), but a hold will be put on a member’s account for this amount. Once the order is executed, the full amount will be debited.

How does making a trade work at Crypto.com?

The actual process of using Crypto.com to purchase trades is incredibly straightforward from the app. Once logged in, members will follow the below steps to buy and sell:

  1. From the main menu, load the ‘Predict’ tab.
  2. Select the relevant category > event.
  3. Choose ‘Yes’ or ‘No’.
  4. Type in the number of contracts you wish to trade on this event.
  5. The form will display the estimated total. This amount is not final as slippage fees may apply, pushing the price up.
  6. Check the details and press ‘Place Order’.
  7. A pop-up will appear, tap ‘Confirm’ to place the trade.

Once the order has been filled, notification will be sent via the app. It’s a good idea to make sure push notifications are switched on to keep up with these.

Types of orders at Crypto.com

The majority of orders at Crypto.com will take the form of Market Orders. These allow users to purchase contracts at the current price displayed. If this price moves, the market order will still be completed, as long as the price range is within the slippage tolerance. The default setting for this is $0.05 per trade but this can be adjusted to suit a member's risk tolerance.

Receiving payouts

Before the event happens, for example, before a football game ends, it’s possible to increase or close your trades. For sports contracts, this can be especially beneficial, when any sweaty fumbles, missed kicks or exploded pigeons can have a big impact on the final outcome.

If you close the position early, your total payout will be the difference between the starting price and the current price, minus any fees. Once the contract event has finished, each contract will be settled immediately and money sent to accounts.

Usability and sign up - does Crypto.com deliver a premium experience?

The biggest prediction market faux pas going is a site that turns finding markets into navigating through city traffic at rush hour on a unicycle. Unless you’re a clown, in which case that’s a great way to beat the traffic. No red noses or floppy shoes here though as moving between the areas of the Crypto.com site and app are buttery smooth.

To begin trading at Crypto.com, it’s necessary to register for a new account with Crypto.com | Derivatives North America. These are the steps to get onboard:

  1. Go to the Crypto.com app and click on the ‘Predict’ tab.

  2. Hit ‘Start Now’ and complete the required details.

  3. Accept and confirm the terms and conditions.

Before it’s possible to make any trades, funds will need to be added to a member account. Deposits can be made via ACH direct deposit, wire transfer or the instant deposit for trading derivatives too. It’s also possible to fund an account using one of the more than 350 crypto coins supported in the app, including BTC, LTC, DOGE and ETH.

Full Crypto.com apps for iOS and Android

The process of making an actual prediction will take place on the Crypto.com app, which is available for both iOS and Android systems. Both apps have very positive reviews across their respective user bases, coming from thousands of reviews. At the moment, the iOS app has a rating of 4.7 out of 5 from more than 300,000 reviews while the Android app has a rating of 4.4 out of 5 from 600,000+ reviews.

It’s important to note that, as a financial trading hub, the Crypto.com app has a range of other products alongside prediction markets. This review is solely focusing on prediction markets however, which can be viewed by going to the ‘Predict’ tab. The Prediction app is a streamlined version of these other aspects, which removes a lot of the baggage of the main site. That’s especially useful for new members.

Are there Crypto.com bonuses?

At the time of writing, there may be a Crypto.com promo code visible online but there’s no welcome bonus for the prediction market. It is possible to access rewards via the bug fixing program, where members alert Crypto.com to any faults or issues.

Crypto.com regulations - open to US residents only

While Crypto.com is totally legal at a federal level, prediction exchanges and specific markets are restricted in some states. Residents of New York and Arizona won’t be able to join Crypto.com and folks in Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts,, Michigan, Nevada, New Jersey and Ohio won’t be able to access sports markets but can trade on other categories.

Like voting or antiquing, accessing prediction exchanges is a purely adult activity so any prospective members must be aged at least 18 to register at Crypto.com, or the legal age of majority in their home state.

Is Crypto.com fair? Who can’t trade at this prediction market

As well as meeting the age and home state requirements, it’s important to be clear that anyone with insider knowledge or connection to an event can’t trade on its outcome. This would go completely against Crypto.com rules and could result in a member’s account being shut down, even a free orange jumpsuit if legal action is taken.

Payment methods at Crypto.com

There’s a wide assortment of payment methods available here, beginning with a range of deposit options. Crypto.com supports many different cryptocurrencies, as well as bank transfer, wire transfer, PayPal, Visa and Mastercard. Most of these methods do not incur a fee but it’s advisable to check the specifics for your bank or provider.

Managing withdrawals

In common with other prediction markets in the US, Crypto.com supports both crypto and fiat withdrawals. Members don’t pay withdrawal fees for crypto as far as Crypto.com is concerned but network fees may apply depending on the individual cryptocurrency.

Fiat options are managed by ACH transfer, which take between 1-3 days to arrive in a bank account. It looks as though Crypto.com may add RTP transfer as an additional option, which is significantly quicker than ACH. That’s a good sign that Crypto.com is considering the member experience and attempting to make it even sweeter.

Crypto.com prediction markets review - from the green jacket to the White House

One of the best features about Crypto.com is the number of markets available. It’s one of the leading new sports prediction market sites sure, but it also offers trades across a vast collection of other events:

💹 Crypto predictions

One of the highlights of the site, the assortment of crypto event contracts is very large. It’s possible to make trades on the market movements of dozens of crypto coins across 5-minute, 2-hour, daily and weekly windows, giving crypto fans lots of options. Which cryptocurrencies exactly? There’s a smorgasbord, from BTC to LTC, DOGE, LINK, SHIB, DOT and many more.

🗳️ Politics predictions

From local and national elections to the introduction of new legislation, it’s possible to trade contracts and watch real-time developments impact voter opinions across a breadth of politics events. This can include mayoral and representative campaigns and control of the Senate but the big kahuna has to be the Presidential election cycle. Although it only happens every four years, there’s a whole cycle of party nominees and primary results where polls shift according to every awkward photo, comments taken out of context and scandals that the press officer should have made a better job of covering up!

💰 Economic predictions

As well as financial based events, Crypto.com also offers economic predictions. This can include rate changes at a federal or global level as well as factors impacting the economy, such as the rate of unemployment. Ideal for fans of nitty gritty data, these are some of the most interesting markets.

🎭 Cultural predictions

A recent addition to Crypto.com, culture based predictions cover categories such as Oscar, Emmy and Grammy award winners, winners of TV shows, trending celebrity news and long term events, such as the song or game of the year. There’s some serious scope for volatile markets here, as traders react to every snippet of celebrity gossip and media appearance. Who’ll win Best Oscar? Expect the market to shift days before as actors make misjudged comments during press conferences.

🌍 Climate predictions

This is currently the smallest section at Crypto.com and has trades on topics such as global temperatures. For example, ‘Will 2026 be the hottest year on record?’

⚽ Sports predictions

The undoubted centrepiece of Crypto.com, sports is the largest category. NBA, NFL, NHL, MLB, UFC? All right there, plus domestic and international events across tennis and soccer. The long sports seasons provide plenty of trades on games, players and league winners, as well as more specific predictions, such as the method of winning in a UFC bout. In fact, this area could cover picks as diverse as the ‘Pro Baseball Champion 2026’ or ‘Will the Chiefs win the Super Bowl?’ Let’s face it, prices might not be too high on that trade for a while!

🕒 Trading hours at Crypto.com

Trading is available nearly 24/7 at Crypto.com apart from a small window between 4:00 - 5:00 AM (ET) on Saturdays when the virtual janitor performs scheduled maintenance. This won’t impact any open positions, and shouldn’t be an issue for domestic sports action for example. But, for anyone following international events, it’s worth noting that it’s not possible to make new trades during this period.

✨ Special features at Crypto.com

Sports predictions at Crypto.com in particular, have some special features to add a little sauce to the user experience. For example, it’s possible to combine several trades, up to a maximum of six, into one hefty prediction sandwich. These trades don’t have to be across the same sport and can offer potentially higher payouts if all of the predictions are correct. However, if just one isn’t right, the entire combination will fall apart like a wet… well, sandwich. Currently, combinations are only possible on sports markets but these may expand to other areas.

Customer support at Crypto.com - educational tools are a major plus

Customer support is one of the most important areas of all reviews, particularly at sites such as Crypto.com, which may involve a bit of a learning curve. Crypto.com addresses this by providing a Help Center full of useful articles outlining the complete process of signing up and making a trade. There’s also a handy search facility to scale in on particular issues - the more precise a search term, the more results will be thrown up. They’re not the most interesting things you’ll ever read but, like an Ikea manual, they serve a purpose.

Live chat and email support

If these articles don’t solve the issue, it’s possible to access support via the live chat and an email address (support@crypto.com). Once loaded, the live chat has a bot gatekeeping system which will display various common issues, such as logging in or managing deposits. Beyond this, members can request to be connected to a human support agent, who will respond as soon as they’re humanly able. English is supported for the live chat tool.

Verdict - what’s the final Crypto.com review rating?

There you have it. There’s a lot to enjoy about the Crypto.com prediction exchange and not a lot to dislike. The choice of markets is like the best buffet in the world, with no shrimp, and covers sports, crypto and more. There’s not quite the same level of choice as at other sites but this is forgivable as Crypto.com is expanding quicker than a belt at that buffet. Cultural markets are some of the most fun for following celebrity scandals and throwing shade so it’s great that Crypto.com has added this market.

Beginners to prediction trading will appreciate the easy to understand fee structure at Crypto.com, and the readily available customer support. The Help Center articles aren’t real page turners to be honest but they do break everything down, from making your first trade to understanding the technical lingo. And they tell you more about prediction exchanges than Harry Potter or 50 Shades of Grey so fair’s fair. There’s also 24/7 support for if the proverbial hits the fan. If that all sounds good, give Crypto.com a try by clicking on the links on this page.
