New players don’t need a LoneStar promo code to activate the site’s 100,000 Gold Coins + 2 Sweep Coins sign-up bonus. Meet the basic eligibility requirements, tap the register button, and the bonus hits the account.
This review lifts the lid on how LoneStar operates before taking a quick detour into why sweepstakes casinos offer bonuses and promos. It then switches its focus to how the welcome bonus works and how to claim it. There are actionable tips for maximizing the bonus, short descriptions of ongoing promos on the site, and much more.
LoneStar, also referred to as LoneStar Casino, is a sweepstakes casino that launched sometime in 2025. It doesn’t have the best sweeps casino promo codes, probably because it believes promo codes aren’t cool anymore (who needs the hassle of shopping for one anyway). Like all sweepstakes sites that operate in the US, it runs on a free-to-play model, where players use virtual currencies (Gold Coins and Sweep Coins) instead of dollars.
So, how do Gold Coins (GC) and Sweep Coins (SC) function at LoneStar? Well, here’s a crash course on that.
GC is used for the fun side of things only, has no redemption value, and lands in accounts through bonuses, promotions, and gameplay. Folks who run through their stash of GC but want to keep playing also have the option of getting more through non-mandatory GC pack purchases.
SC can also be used for gameplay, but can also be turned in for gift cards or cash prizes after meeting the site’s prize redemption requirements. How to get SC? Gameplay, promotions, and bonuses are the current sources. Per the site rules, though, SC can’t be purchased (might be fun if they could?).
LoneStar offers an interesting buffet of 500+ casino-style games: slots, specialty games, table games, and social live casino games. It also provides 24/7 support, reputable payment methods, and great ease of use on PC, app, and mobile site. Plus, there are White House-level security features (not literally, but the drift’s clear), and, of course, multiple freebies and rewards. There’s even a perk-stacked VIP program for players who stick around.
But there’s a catch. No thanks to local legislation, folks in Washington, Michigan, Idaho, Montana, Connecticut, New York, and Nevada are locked out of LoneStar. What’s more, players in Louisiana, California, New Jersey, and Tennessee can get in. But they can’t enter its SC promotions or redeem alternative prizes (tough, but it is what it is). Basically, only adults aged 18+ who live in eligible locations have access to LoneStar’s full suite of services.
To set the context for this LoneStar review about the site’s bonuses and promos, here’s why sweepstakes sites keep the offers coming (spoiler alert! It isn’t purely generosity).
Real money online casinos are currently illegal in most US states. But, US laws stipulate that sweepstakes sites can offer gaming services as long as there are no player purchases. This “gap” was all sweepstakes casinos needed to get a foot in the door. They’ve currently gotten both feet in and are currently available in 30+ US states.
Here’s where it gets interesting. To comply with US sweepstakes laws, these sites offer virtual currencies (which have no monetary value) to their players at no cost. Guess what the best way to offer these virtual currencies is? Bonuses and promotions!
Sweepstakes casinos are a dime a dozen in the US, and they are racing for the same pool of players. To stay ahead in the race, many sweepstakes sites use bonuses and promos as marketing tactics. Ever wondered why the landing pages of most sweepstakes casinos feature colorful banners describing their bonuses and promotions?
The idea is to get more eyeballs on these offers, and if that’s done well and long enough, new players might just sign up. But it starts with offering generous, player-friendly bonuses and promotions that promise more value than the competition’s.
Getting new players through the door is one thing. Keeping them is where it's at. All the leading sweepstakes brands understand this math. That’s why they try engaging their existing players with login rewards, referral bonuses, social media contests, VIP/loyalty programs, and the occasional seasonal campaigns.
It’s a generous 100,000 GC + 2 SC welcome offer that’s credited to a newly created LoneStar account that passed its verification process. Here's where things get slightly annoying: because of restrictions on the site’s SC promos in certain states, some welcome bonuses may include SC, and others won’t. The good news is, regardless of location, there won’t be a need to activate a welcome bonus with a LoneStar bonus code.
One other thing: GC pack purchases aren't needed to play at sweepstakes sites; some sites offer first optional GC pack purchase deals that offer new players more virtual currencies at a discount. Interestingly, LoneStar doesn't seem overly concerned with flashy first-purchase deals. Plenty of sweepstakes sites practically build their entire identity around flashy welcome offers, but LoneStar takes a slightly less aggressive approach. Some of the available offers include:
To be clear, an optional GC pack purchase is by no means a LoneStar deposit bonus. The site runs on a no-purchase-required sweepstakes model, where players don’t need to purchase its optional GC packs to play. Instead, the GC packs are meant to serve as a backup option if they run out of virtual currency while playing on the site.

There are currently no promo codes at LoneStar, and that’s because you don’t need one to activate the site’s bonuses and promos. So, claiming most bonuses takes barely any time, which feels deliberate rather than generous.
But only eligible persons can register at the site and claim its bonuses. For players who’ve met the site’s eligibility requirements, here’s how to sign up:
Click the on-page banners to visit the official LoneStar website.
Tap the “Register” button at the top of the homepage.
Hit either of the “Register with email”, “Register with Google,” or “Register with Facebook” buttons to initiate the sign-up process.
Accept the site’s Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, affirm that you are 18+ and don’t live in a restricted state.
Provide the required sign-up deets.
Complete the mandatory email and phone verification.
Verify your location
Claim the awarded sign-up bonus, and start playing. No need to hunt for and input a string of random characters before claiming your welcome bonus.
Once you claim your LoneStar bonus, the difference between using it up in a couple of hours or for much longer depends on how you use it. The following tips can help you wring some value out of it.
Doing this makes it easier to use the site’s bonus. The best way to go about this is to look up the site’s terms of service and promotional play pages. Granted, both pages won’t make any bestseller’s list, but they spell out how LoneStar’s virtual currencies work, what prize redemption looks like, who’s eligible for GC/SC gameplay, and whether a LoneStar promo code is needed.
The next best place to check is its FAQs section. That’s where the site details all the info new players need to enjoy its services. Players who skip these pages may end up asking the support team questions like “Why doesn’t my bonus have SC?”
LoneStar offers one of the most generous daily login bonuses out there. Best part is, players don’t have to complete Mission Impossible-level tasks to claim them. All that’s required to claim this bonus is to log in to one’s account on the site, and the login bonus is credited to the account. Players who can maintain a streak of consecutive logins and claim the associated bonus can build a fairly healthy pile of virtual currency over time.
Since GC can only be used for entertainment, they’d serve as great fodder for testing the site’s games. As they use up their GC, they get to figure out how the games work and which ones they enjoy playing more. They can then switch to SC mode, score more SC, and possibly bag some prizes. Note that LoneStar doesn’t support SC play in Louisiana, Michigan, California, New Jersey, Montana, Nevada, New York, Idaho, or Washington.
Although there aren’t currently multiple LoneStar sign up offers, the site offers bonuses for daily logins, referrals, mail-in requests, and GC pack purchases (think of them as sidekicks). One way to maximize the welcome offer is to claim as many of the available bonuses as possible. Why?
That’s because it’s a great way to shore up a player's available account. A bigger balance won’t guarantee prizes, but it does offer longer gaming sessions at the site, and a shot at more fun and maybe rewards.
LoneStar has hundreds of games and a steady stream of promotions, so it probably won’t take much for play sessions to get longer than expected. That's partly why LoneStar includes responsible play tools in the first place to manage gaming sessions and set purchase limits.
Here are some quick facts to clear up any confusion about the welcome offers at the site.
Not at the moment. LoneStar currently runs with a single no-purchase welcome bonus that could be either 100,000 GC or 100,000 GC + 2 SC, depending on the player’s location (LoneStar doesn’t support SC play in Louisiana, Michigan, California, New Jersey, Montana, Nevada, New York, Idaho, and Washington).
No, it isn’t. Trad no deposit bonuses are for real money online casinos, which LoneStar isn’t. Although its welcome bonus is a no-purchase offer, it isn’t a no-deposit bonus.
Once sign-up and verification are done, LoneStar awards the welcome bonus for gameplay and, if eligible, prize redemption.
The welcome bonus gets most of the attention, but it's hardly the only promotion worth mentioning. One more thing: bear in mind that LoneStar doesn’t support SC gameplay in some locations. So, even if SC is listed among the bonuses below, it only applies to players in regions where the site supports SC mode.
Now that that’s out of the way, keep reading:
Unsurprisingly, this is one of the site's most popular promotions because of how easily it can be claimed. It’s a 5,000 GC + 0.03 SC bonus that's awarded to players who log in to their accounts daily. The bonus is awarded once every 24 hours and doesn’t need a LoneStar promo code to activate it.
Players who spread the word about LoneStar’s services can bag a referral bonus that could get up to 200k GC + 70 SC for each friend that they refer to the site. Little wonder player feedback refers (no pun intended) to it as one of the top offers at the site.
It’s a two-part bonus, though, and is activated in installments when the referral completes two qualifying tasks. The first installment drops after the referred player makes qualifying optional GC purchases of $15. Once optional GC pack purchases of $500 are made by the same referred player who made the first purchase, the second installment drops. But, these GC pack purchases are optional and aren’t mandatory for gameplay.
The mail-in is kinda old-school, but it’s still a sure way to claim free Sweeps Coins at LoneStar. The site accepts handwritten requests for SC, which are received at its physical address. Be warned, the requirements for submission are quite strict, but for every letter that meets them, the site awards 1 SC.
LoneStar is quite active on X, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and Reddit, where it has a thriving community of players outside the site. It often hosts contests and giveaways on its socials, with its Facebook, X, and Instagram pages getting most of the action. Participation in these promotions is often fun, and the rewards serve as icing on the cake.
Unlike many sweepstakes brands, LoneStar Casino boasts a 7-level VIP program that runs through Bronze, Silver, Gold, Rose Gold, Green, Pearl, and Master tiers. All new players start at Bronze level and can work their way up the other six tiers by generating VIP points from their gameplay. No LoneStar bonus code needed here.
The rewards progressively improve through the tiers, and players can get anything from the standard daily login bonus to weekly event invites. Here’s the menu served at the VIP program:
Fun fact! VIP points never reduce, even when the player is inactive.
Players looking to have fun at a bonus-laden sweepstakes site may have a great time at LoneStar. LoneStar isn't exactly stingy with bonuses. On the contrary, there are rewards for signing up, logging in, referring friends, mailing letters, and a few other activities along the way. Heck, players can even get rewards for participating in its social media promos or sending the site a handwritten letter. Plus, there’s a VIP program with loads of perks for players who spend time at the site.
Simply put, it’s bonus galore at LoneStar, and the best part is, none of these offers require a promo code for activation. All players have to do is sign up and claim their pick of bonuses.
There’s a major catch, though. The site doesn’t support playing in SC mode in Louisiana, Michigan, California, New Jersey, Montana, Nevada, New York, Idaho, or Washington. So, SC bonuses aren’t available there. That said, GC gameplay still offers enough action, and players in the SC restricted states can still have a great time (bar prize redemption).
For players who are in eligible locations and would like a piece of what it offers (SC play or not), click the on-page banners and follow the prompts to get in.
Anyone who’s 18+ and lives in a state where the site is available.
Players can get up to 200k GC + 70 SC for each friend that they refer to the site. But the bonus is only activated in installments after the referral completes two qualifying tasks.
LoneStar’s a sweepstakes site and doesn’t offer deposit bonuses. But it does support optional GC pack purchases to help players extend their gaming sessions.
