Jack Grealish handed shock Spanish giant lifeline amid Everton termination threat – report

Jack Grealish could look to Spain to relaunch his career amid links with a couple of big sides, and the threat of his Everton loan being cancelled following disciplinary action.

Grealish has missed Everton’s last four games. After reported illness for the first, he was left out for disciplinary reasons, apparently having missed a mandatory training session, and has remained out since.

There have been a number of outlets suggesting the termination of his loan could be possible.

Reports in Spain suggest January might give Grealish the opportunity to relaunch his career elsewhere, if David Moyes is to decide he doesn’t want to continue with the Englishman in his squad.

Should that be the case, it’s stated Atletico Madrid could represent a viable landing spot.

They’re stated as the club with the most concrete precedent for signing Grealish after links in the summer.

If the Everton loanee is to sign for Atleti, it’s believed it would have to be a deal in which the Spanish side don’t pay his full wages.

There is another potential option in Spain, as it’s said Barcelona could consider a player of Grealish’s profile if they decide to extend their options on the flanks.

But it’s also noted they’ve just signed Anthony Gordon, so likely don’t need to do so. Further to that, if they didn’t want Marcus Rashford again this season, the likelihood of Grealish joining seems slim.

It must also be said that the outlets reporting on this aren’t the most trustworthy, and Moyes has all but stated Grealish will be back in his side soon.

Jack Grealish will NOT have contract terminated

Though Everton feel let down by the wide man’s antics, our friends at TEAMtalk are among the outlets who have been consistent in stating he will not be allowed to go back to Manchester City in January.

They suggested Moyes felt Grealish had a big role to play for the remainder of the season, if he could keep his discipline in check, and even wanted to reintegrate him for Saturday’s match against Coventry.

While the Englishman was not in the squad for that game, Moyes stated it would not be long before he was back.

He said: “No, Jack’s not available. I wouldn’t give you the plan but we will be working with Jack again soon.”

It’s believed Grealish is back in training and therefore should be back in action before long.
