After turning their fortunes around, Tottenham will look to continue their winning run when they face Leeds at Elland Road.

Goals from Archie Gray and Jan Paul van Hecke gave Spurs a 2-0 win at home to Crystal Palace last weekend and also moved them to ninth in the Premier League table.

Leeds lost 2-0 away at Bournemouth in their last outing and have dropped down to 12th, with 11 points from their opening nine games.

Leeds team news

Noah Okafor missed the Bournemouth defeat with an abductor problem and is yet to return to team training, making him a major doubt for this game.

Anton Stach will also need a late fitness test as he has been managing a foot issue in recent weeks, which limited him to substitute appearances against both Sunderland and Bournemouth.

James Justin and Gabriel Gudmundsson came off at the Vitality Stadium after picking up knocks, but have been in training and are expected to start.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin has a foot injury, although Daniel Farke is optimistic that the striker will be fit enough to face Tottenham.

Joe Rodon has missed the last eight games with a hamstring injury, but the centre-back returned to team training this week and could be named in the matchday squad.

Mateo Joseph is a long-term absentee following his anterior cruciate ligament injury at the end of last season.

Ethan Empadu picked up his fourth yellow card of the season against Bournemouth and is now is walking a disciplinary tightrope as another booking will lead to an automatic one-match suspension.

Tottenham team news

James Maddison wasn’t risked against Palace and remained an unused substitute, but he is expected to return to the starting line-up at Elland Road.

That would see one of Omar Marmoush or Dominic Solanke drop down to the substitutes’ bench, while Mohammed Kudus and Matthys Tel will continue out wide.

Having made substitute appearances in the last two games, Pedro Porro has now fully recovered from a hamstring injury and may replace Archie Gray at right-back.

Savio (muscle), Lucas Bergvall (knee) and Tosin Adarabioyo (calf) could all be back in the matchday squad against Leeds.

Rodrigo Bentancur has now served his three-match suspension following his red card against Manchester United, and is available for selection again.

But Mykhailo Mudryk (ankle) remains sidelined, along with long-term absentees Xavi Simons and Wilson Odobert.

Leeds v Tottenham odds

Tottenham go into this game as slight favourites and are 13/8 to make it four league wins in a row.

Leeds are 15/8 to get back to winning ways at Elland Road, while The Draw is 5/2.

In the outright betting, Tottenham are 9/4 to finish the season in the top five, and Leeds are 8/11 to secure a top 10 finish.

Leeds v Tottenham prediction

Following last weekend’s results, Tottenham moved above Leeds in the Premier League table for the first time this season.

Spurs made it three Premier League wins in a row with their 2-0 victory over Palace, while Leeds saw their winless run in the top flight extend to five games.

The goals have started to dry up for Farke’s side, who have netted just two goals across their last five Premier League games. Under 1.5 Leeds goals is available at 8/15.

Leeds also have a poor recent record in this fixture, with Tottenham taking all three points in each of their last three visits to Elland Road.

The visitors won 4-0 in West Yorkshire in February 2022 and triumphed 4-1 the following campaign before recording a 2-1 victory in this game last season.

That record and the recent form of both of these sides leads us to back a Tottenham win and Both Teams to Score at 4/1.

A repeat of the 2-1 scoreline from this fixture last season is available at 10/1.

Calvert-Lewin should be fit enough to start and Leeds have come to rely on the striker, who has scored four of their six goals at Elland Road this season.

He also scored from the penalty spot when these two sides met in north London at the end of last season, and is 2/1 to find the back of the net here.

Tel scored in both games against Leeds last season, including the opener in the 2-1 win at Elland Road. He is 7/2 to get on the score sheet, and 10/1 to break the deadlock again.

Kudus is starting to rediscover his best form following his return from injury, and has three assists in his last five Premier League appearances.

The Ghana international is 17/4 to register an assist at Elland Road.
