Huge Arsenal injury blow confirmed as expert and journalist reveal Madueke ACL news

Noni Madueke is ‘set for a spell on the sidelines’ with a knee injury but the Arsenal star ‘has not done his ACL’, according to journalist Ben Jacobs.
The Gunners signed the England international in the summer transfer window with Madueke costing them around £52m in a deal from London rivals Chelsea.
There was a petition signed by thousands of Arsenal fans calling on the club to cancel his transfer – but the Gunners pushed forward with the deal.
But Madueke is already a fan favourite at the Emirates Stadium with the winger shining in the opening weeks of the season for club and country.
Madueke was seen clutching his knee during the closing stages of the first half against Manchester City with Bukayo Saka replacing his team-mate at the break.
There were fears and rumours that Madueke could have suffered an ACL injury but former CBS Sports journalist Jacobs insists that is not the case.

Jacobs wrote on X:Â ‘Noni Madueke set for a spell on the sidelines due to a knee injury sustained against Manchester City. Timeline for return still unclear as tests ongoing. However, Madueke has not done his ACL, despite rumours.’
That confirmed came after reliable football injury analyst on X called Physio Scout insisted that it was unlikely to be an ACL injury.
The expert added on X:Â ‘In regards to Noni Madueke being sent for scans – I’ve skimmed through the first half and it’s hard to say that any event could have caused an ACL injury.
‘Yes, it seems like he was in some discomfort in his knee, but he might have just been sent for precautionary scans on the knee issue. Please take any rumours with a pinch of salt. Happy to be proven wrong with any clips – would update analysis.’

Eberechi Eze also came off the bench at the half-time interval and when asked if the half-time substitutes was an admission that the team selection wasn’t right, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta replied: “It’s too easy to say that.
“I think it’s very clear what we wanted to do, and we started the game very well, I think we completely dominated.
“I think after they scored the goal, doing absolutely nothing before that, we were a bit shaky for five or seven minutes and after that we got the grip of the game again and started to dominate it, and the second half it was a continuation of that, with one different player and then with two or three different players.”
