Arsenal ‘pull out’ of talks as Inter lead £56m Aubameyang race

Arsenal have pulled out of contract talks with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as Inter Milan take pole position in the race to sign the striker, according to reports.
The Gabon international has been everything Gunners fans could’ve hoped for since his arrival from Borussia Dortmund in 2018.
With his combination of lethal finishing and blistering pace, Aubameyang has notched 61 times in 97 appearances for the club and his goals have often been the sole factor keeping Arsenal in the race for European qualification.

With his contract expiring in the summer of 2021 and no immediate sign of an extension, speculation has been rife that he could depart for pastures new rather than be allowed to leave on a free transfer in three windows’ time.
And now the Daily Express claims that Arsenal are ‘ready to sell’ Aubameyang after ‘pulling out of contract talks with him late last week’.
The Gunners are looking around £56m for their star striker with ‘Inter boss Antonio Conte is keen on taking the Gabon international to Italy this summer’.
One potentially stumbling block could be his £200,000 a week wages but Inter are hoping they can ‘reach a compromise’ with Conte desperate to sign him.
